Role: Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a key member of the Data Analytics team. You’ll collaborate closely with functional leaders, engineers, and product managers to convert raw data into actionable insights.

This role demands strong analytical thinking, hands-on experience with SQL/Python/R, and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst at Samsara, you will:

  • Transform raw datasets into strategic insights through dashboards, reports, memos, and presentations.
  • Build analytical models to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies — such as spotting unhealthy IoT devices through sensor temperature data.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand and optimize data structures.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses to evaluate product health and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strong product and data intuition across Samsara’s cloud ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

To apply for this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data-related field (Analytics, Data Science, BI, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Expertise in SQL and Python and/or R
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Strong communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical teams
  • The ability to break down ambiguous tasks into clear problem statements

Preferred Qualifications

Salary Range

The expected annual base salary for this role is:
$101,150 — $170,000 USD
Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location.
